

In 1962 NASA Established itÕs
Launch Operations Center on FloridaÕs East coast. One year later they named it
after the president who put America on the path to the moon. John F Kennedy.
Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first of twelve men to walk on the moon
conquering KennedyÕs challenge. Meanwhile NASA was still learning about the
planets and space.
